Eagles Guitarist Glenn Frey Dies at 67

Glenn Frey, the guitarist and singer who was a founding member of the Eagles, died Monday in New York City, the band said in a statement. He was 67. Frey died of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. The Eagles was founded in 1971 in Los Angeles, known for “Hotel California” and dozens of other hits. Man Who Attacked Ulber Driver Files $5-million Lawsuit

A former Taco Bell corporate manager who was captured on video drunkenly attacking his Uber driver Edward Caban is now suing that the driver for $5 million, claiming that the recording was made without his consent, according to court documents.

Benjamin Golden, 32, of Newport Beach, said the now-viral video, which was taken by a dashboard-mounted camera and posted to YouTube by the driver, was recorded unknowingly and without his permission while he was intoxicated and was an invasion of his privacy. (Los Angeles Times)

China GDP Growth at Slowest Pace Since 2009

China’s growth slowed sharply last year, adding to the troubling economic picture that is unsettling investors around the world. The Chinese economy grew at a 6.8 percent pace in the fourth quarter, according to data released on Tuesday. It was the slowest quarterly expansion since the global financial crisis in 2009.
