Go Metro to UCLA Bruins Football Games at the Rose Bowl

LOS ANGELES-The UCLA Bruins are playing the Stanford Cardinal at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday in Pasadena, and there’s no better way to beat the traffic and parking hassles at the stadium than riding Metro and other transit services to the game.

The game starts at 5 p.m. Metro bus and rail lines provide service to and from Pasadena for connections to the Rose Bowl. The Metro Gold Line will run every 17 minutes this Saturday due to planned maintenance at Duarte. Fans should exit at Memorial Park Gold Line Station, then head west on Holly Street, following the signs for two blocks to the Rose Bowl Shuttle pick-up locations at the Parsons Building. Free shuttles will take football fans directly to the Rose Bowl. Round trip shuttle service is available to the Rose Bowl Stadium’s Lot B. Shuttle service to the stadium begins three hours prior to kick-off. The shuttle service will run continuously until about one hour after the end of the game. Check the Rose Bowl website at www.rosebowlstadium.com for more information.

Fans coming from the San Fernando Valley can also utilize the North Hollywood to Pasadena Express (Line 501) for a quick ride to Pasadena using the 134 Freeway’s carpool lanes. Game attendees should exit the bus at Raymond and Holly and proceed west to the Parsons Building to access the shuttle. Those returning toward North Hollywood after 9 p.m. should take the Metro Gold Line and Red Lines, as Line 501 ends service from Pasadena at approximately 8:45 p.m. Click here for timetable.

Additionally, Pasadena Transit 51 also provides bus service to the Rose Bowl on Saturday. The bus operates every 20 minutes, and picks up passengers in front of Memorial Park Station and drops them off at the Rose Bowl at Arroyo and Seco.  Click here for timetable.

Gold Line football fans can save time and skip long lines by loading their TAP Card with $3.50 in stored value for round-trip fare before the game and avoid long lines at TAP vending machines after the game. Everyone needs their own TAP card. Many Gold Line stations provide free parking, and Union Station East underground parking is $8.

Four additional UCLA games are planned this season. For a complete listing of future games at the Rose Bowl, visitwww.rosebowlstadium.com.  For more information on Metro services to sports events, visit www.metro.net/gameday.
