Jiafei Fan Unveils Creative Way to Learn Chinese Characters in San Gabriel

San Gabriel—“Soul of Chinese Characters—Cultural Exchange World Tour Los Angeles” officially kicked off at San Gabriel Library on October 24.  Jiafei Fan, the inventor of “Jiafei HuaZi”, Consul Dongshi Bai of the Chinese Consulate General, Congresswoman Judy Chu, and Mayor Chin Ho Liao of San Gabriel attended the opening ceremony.

“Jiafei HuaZi” is a fun-filled and interesting immersion teaching method of Chinese characters, which inspires children’s cognition, allows them to easily memorize Chinese characters and experience the wisdom embedded in Chinese characters, and ignites a spark of their interests in Chinese characters and Chinese culture.

Jiafei Fan, the descendant of Zhongyan Fan, a well-known thinker of North Song Dynasty, devotes all her saving and time to the promotion of Chinese character and Chinese culture, developing a unique and creative method to teach Chinese character through vivid drawing.  It is no longer a mission impossible to learn otherwise hard-to-learn Chinese character thanks to her invention.

Consul Bai, on behalf of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles, expressed his appreciation for Jiafei Fan’s unswerving efforts in promoting Chinse culture overseas.  Both Congresswoman Chu and Mayor Liao extended warm welcome to Jianfei Fan, and thanked her for sharing her inspirational method with American students who show interest in learning Chinese characters.
