Beijing, China—Overseas Chinese Media Tour Beijing 2018 kicks off June 26 in Beijing, an annual event organized by Beijing Federation of Overseas Chinese.
Over 40 overseas Chinese media outlets from the United States, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Argentina and other countries participated in the event themed “Feel Beijing”.
Zhao Hongsheng, the leader of Beijing Federation of Overseas Chinese, asked overseas Chinese media to be Beijing storytellers and present the charming city to the world.
A panel discussion on media development and operation was held in Renmin University of China, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in China, which is well known for its School of Journalism.
Over the next few days participants will visit China Foreign Language Publishing Administration, the Organizing Committee for 2022 Winter Olympics, and Tongzhou,the new municipal center of Beijing.
Beijing, the capital of China, with a population of over 21 million, will host the XXIV Olympic Winter Games in 2022.
