NBPD is Seeking Victims of a Weapon Brandishing during a Peaceful Protest

Newport Beach- On Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 3:23 p.m., the Newport Beach Police Department’s Dispatch Center was notified of a suspect that brandished a handgun at a protester near the intersection of 30th Street and Newport Blvd. The suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect brandished a black handgun from his backpack and fled from the area.

The NBPD is seeking victims of the weapon brandishing or anyone who can assist with additional information about the incident. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Detective Rick Henry at 949-644-3797 or rhenry@nbpd.org.
