Kim’s Campaign Kickoff Event Raises More Than $120,000

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – – Surrounded by hundreds of supporters from the community Young Kim held her first event since announcing her campaign for Orange County’s 4th Supervisorial District. The event raised an impressive $120,000 towards her campaign.
The sold out kickoff event was headlined by guest speakers U.S. Representative Ed Royce and Supervisor Michelle Steel. In attendance were local elected officials, community leaders and individuals from in and around the 4th District.
“It’s a humbling feeling to know that you are supported by so many,” said Kim at the event. “This is a crowd of community leaders. They believe in getting things done and I’m proud to have them support my campaign. The attendees of this event have walked precincts, donated and made phone calls on my behalf before. I know I can count on them to do that again. That is what will make our campaign so strong. We have a grassroots campaign of volunteers that want to keep our community moving in the right direction.”
Orange County’s 4th District is currently represented by Supervisor Shawn Nelson who is prevented from running for reelection due to term limits. The District includes all or parts of the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, Placentia and La Habra.
